Our background at QStarLabs

Our background is mostly in Applied AI in academia and quantitative finance, with some cloud computing and ad-tech expertise. We specialize in building distributed data systems and maintaining datasets that address complex real-world problems and are capable of ingesting, storing, and processing terabytes of data while maintaining reliability and scalability.

Social media is much like financial markets from an applied AI perspective. There is a lot of noise within the data and human behavior is often unpredictable. That’s why our approach to social media applies the same principles of quantitative finance: we must define the problem and goal, construct the data set, and reward strategic behavior.
